We always enjoy our trip to Cozumel! We can never say enough on the excellent service we get from Juan Carlos, bell boy. He goes out of his way for us every time. We talked to Juan about a local pork favorite, Lachone. The next thing we knew, he was bringing us some to try on our last day!

It was awesome! Ironman Mario always makes us feel welcome with a sincere hug for each one of us. Our favorite bartenders are Alfredo, Rigo, and Marino! They serve some fast and flavorful drinks!

We are still in the airport about to depart Cozumel. Our stay was from June 1-8, 2019. My wife and I, our teenagers and our two older children with spouses and one 11-month-old grandchild and friends all came. My wife and I and our two teenagers somehow reserved a family suite that was actually two rooms with a connecting door.

Our cleaning staff was excellent. One of them told me about the riviera maya fishing charters if we wanted a great fishing experience here. Our refrigerator stocking staff provided more than expected water and drinks every day. All the entertainment, bar, and wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. We made friends with all of them. We enjoyed swimming in two pools. The immediate shore is sand but quickly becomes rocky, so water shoes are required. We snorkeled several times each day, which is our favorite activity.

I’ll post pictures of the underwater sea life we encountered. I used AKASO EK7000. I used the Spa for a 50-minute hydro spa and a 50-minute Swedish massage for a promotional rate of $139 (no timeshare tour required), which was terrific. The food was typical budget resort food which we are just fine with. We were able to watch the NBA Finals in our rooms or at the lobby bar. The weather was perfect, and the water was still and calm as I expected for Cozumel, which was our 6th trip to Cozumel.

I didn’t realize it at booking, but we had been to this resort previously in 2009. It was a Wyndham at that time, I believe. Just be aware that individual staffers will want to offer you a “resort benefits” meeting in which they will want to provide you with a discounted opportunity to an excursion or rental which will require a timeshare tour of their adjacent “Secrets” property. These staffers are skilled at leading you into these conversations.

We abruptly avoid these people and do not engage even slightly in these conversations because we have found it almost impossible to get out of these conversations. We want to give a shout out to Abbey, Crystal, Hector, Angel, Rozanna, Austin and so many, many others that we enjoyed in the hotel.
